Training and experience as an accredited translator.

BA in Translation and Interpreting

I graduated in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Vigo in 2007 and I’m a sworn English translator, appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation (MAEC) in 2008. I also have taken a Master’s in Institutional Translation from the University of Alicante, though I have yet to complete one subject and the final project.

But I hope to finish soon, it’s a pebble in my shoe!

I started my professional career straight after my BA, with a three-month work placement in the publishing company Editorial Tambre (Grupo Edelvives) in Vigo, Galicia. After that, I moved to Nîmes (France), where I worked as a language assistant for six months.

When I returned to Spain, I joined the team at the translation agency Eureco Galicia Traductores in Santiago. I worked there for three years until, in 2011, I began my adventure as a freelance professional translator.

Since then I have continued to train, learn and grow each day.

A passion for languages, translation and culture

Sworn translation

Official, sworn translations valid in Spain, performed by a translator certified by MAEC (the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation). I specialise in translating documents from English to Spanish, which bear my signature and stamp attesting to their faithfulness to the original.

Technical translation

Technical translation of manuals, guides, protocols and software localisation files, ensuring the utmost terminological precision. I familiarise myself with the sector and carry out extensive research to ensure rigour and accuracy in each project.

Creative translation

The aim of creative translation is to produce the same impact on the target audience as the original text. It’s the perfect solution for advertising or dissemination projects that require flexibility, imagination and ingenuity.

Post-editing and revision

Post-editing is on the increase owing to the development and training of neural machine translation engines. Compliance with the ISO 17100 standard requires the inclusion of a revision phase in all translation services.

A peek into my personal life!

Because we all know there’s more to life than work.

Well, I’m married to my best friend —who also happens to be my go-to terminology expert in the crane and heavy machinery sector— and I have four dogs, my loyal companions at the foot of my desk.

And apart from translation, my two biggest passions in life are eating and traveling — which I try to indulge in as much as possible out on the road in our campervan.

I also play padel. But I can assure you that my translation skills are infinitely better than my padel playing!

You're one translation away from meeting me!
